Sketches by Betty Brown

Betty Brown is a local artist who lives in Oriental with her husband.  Betty’s sketching of a few neighbor’s homes evolved into the creation of her sketching business.

Betty’s custom sketches of homes, churches, boats, businesses and local scenes are available for prints, stationary, invitations, advertisements and custom Christmas cards.

Betty received her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Roanoke College, Salem, VA. and later earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Radford University, Radford, VA.

She enjoyed teaching children with Learning Disabilities in Roanoke, VA. She and her husband moved to Oriental from Smith Mt. Lake, VA.

Her love of the water and the Oriental is expressed in her sketches.
